“We made three films with School Video Production. One about the importance of school attendance and one about the uniqueness of our school. We also made a short video about our unique rowing offering.

Having never been involved in making a film before, it was fun, challenging, occasionally fraught our end, but all calmed by the reassuring guidance of the crew.

We started with ‘Attendance’ and had some set ideas about the messages we needed to get across and how to do this. It was incredibly reassuring to then leave that initial meeting having been totally convinced that a completely different approach would come across better -they were completely right. It’s this experience and professionalism that we really appreciated.

The attendance film involved lots of input from very nervous children who were completely put at their ease by the humour, kindness and patience of the film crew.

For our ‘Uniqueness’ video, the team were unfazed (at least on the outside!) by early morning starts and they adapted to a rigorous scheduling timetable set by the school that placed everyone under some degree of pressure.

We selected them initially having compared others online and preferring the care they obviously take to make what could be bland shots, look visually interesting. The results have been outstanding and we are extremely grateful for their good humour and speedy editing. So much so, that we are now planning another film with them!”
